No. Fluent Books is 100% remote. We serve clients from Victoria to Prince George and everywhere in between. Everything happens online -- you share documents through our secure client portal, we meet by video call, and your books are always accessible through QuickBooks Online. Most of our clients say the remote model is actually more convenient than driving to an office.
Usually within one week of your discovery call. After you sign the engagement agreement, we schedule an onboarding session, connect your bank accounts, and get your books current. If you are behind on your books, we do a cleanup project first, then transition to ongoing monthly service.
We recommend QuickBooks Online and can set it up for you. If you already have a QBO subscription, we work within your existing account. We also support Zoho Books and Xero. The QBO subscription is billed separately by Intuit.
A bookkeeper records what has already happened in your business -- transactions, payroll, reconciliations. A Fractional CFO looks at those numbers and helps you make decisions about what happens next: cashflow planning, budgeting, margin analysis, growth strategy. We offer both, and many clients start with bookkeeping and add CFO advisory as they grow.
Yes. We hold CPB Canada designation, QuickBooks ProAdvisor and QBO Advanced certifications, and Xero Advisor certification. We carry professional liability insurance. If we make an error, we correct it at no cost to you and cover any penalties directly related to our mistake. We have never had a CRA penalty issued due to our work.
Yes, any time. Many clients start at Essentials and move up as their business grows. Upgrading takes effect from the next billing cycle. We will proactively recommend an upgrade when we see your business outgrowing your current plan.
